Film_TV : Holiday : Music Bed (Underscore)
Dude. Its totally “”brick”” outside. Know what I mean? I mean, I’m totally going with it, cuz its like, the holidays. But word, I think I’ll just chill, maybe grab a coffee at Jacob Briars and be mad festive. With this collection of light holiday themed tracks we dive into the sounds of quirky hipster comedy with all the flavors of Christmas. The gangs all here: ukuleles, whistles, snaps and accordions. Program these tracks when you need some intimate quirky holiday moods.
All tracks should be approx. 2:30 in length. Please consider each track as 3 mini-cues or variations on a theme, encompassed in one cohesive track. Start small in section 1; introduce your ideas and set the mood for what is to come. Section 2 is the mid level intensity of your track. Expand the orchestration perhaps with a counter-idea and stronger approach. There should be a marked increase in intensity from sections 1-2. Section 3 is your final statement. State your idea one final time in as full a version as is warranted for the style. Again there should be a noticeable increase in orchestration and support from section 2-3. Unlike our other categories, there should be no breaks between sections, The entire track should flow together as one cohesive piece.
Reference examples are embedded below. Use these for inspiration. Your tracks should be Bouncy, Bright, Cheerful, Feelgood and Positive. Please capture the same spirit and feel of the references, even though they clearly do not adhere to the prescribed structural direction. Please, vary the instrumentation throughout yet keep each section at the same tempo. For this album, we recommend utilizing the following instrumental forces:
Ukulele, Percussion, Sleigh Bells, Piano, Accordion
The above is suggested instrumentation to help you begin your track, please add additional instrumentation as warranted by the specific style.
We like to see tracks turned around in a few weeks or less. That said, we are MUCH more interested in quality of both composition and production over quantity of tracks or speed of delivery. If you enjoy the process, we can definitely use your help on other albums as well. The more you write, the better the chances of having your music programmed by our editor partners.
If you have any questions, please contact us any time. We look forward to licensing your music!
Please DO NOT arrange any pre-existing melodies (Christmas or otherwise). All tracks are to be 100% original intellectual property
