LOGAN NELSON (b. 1996) is a film, concert, and multimedia composer based in Los Angeles, CA. He has composed the music for dozens of short films, web series’, and video games. Logan currently attends USC pursuing a B.M. in Composition with a minor in Film Production. He has also studied Music Production and Technology through the Berklee College of Music and spends his days exploring the intersection between instruments and electronics. He is the lead composition assistant for EMMY-winning composer Kris Bowers and has assisted him on projects premiering in Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival, Amazon, and Netflix. He has also worked at Remote Control Productions for composer, Hans Zimmer and his team. Logan is constantly involved in the intensive study of music theory, aural skills, orchestration, and screen writing and has been mentored closely by Garry Schyman. His film scores are widely acclaimed, receiving awards at festivals like the NYC Indie Film Awards. He has studied with Sean Callery (Elementary, 24, Bones) and Mark Snow (The X-Files) at the NYU/ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop and was fortunate to be selected as a 2015 ASCAP Morton Gould Composer Finalist. In addition to composition, Logan is also an accomplished pianist, violist, and guitarist.
