I was born and raised in South Korea, where I worked for over a decade composing music for commercials, for companies such as Samsung, LG, and Coway, and as a songwriter for the K-pop artists Jung-hoon Kim, Crazy Milk, Hyewon Park, and others. As a jazz/pop pianist since 2005, I played on multiple projects, including the musicals Fame, Rent, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. In 2013 I moved to Los Angeles, I received a master’s degree in commercial music (Composition/Arranging) from California State University Los Angeles in 2016. Since moving to Los Angeles, I have performed at multiple venues including the Valley Performing Art Center, the UCLA Fowler Museum, the Autry Museum, the Luckman Fine Arts Complex, Pechanga Resort, and the Mint..
