Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Emer began her musical journey at the age of two and a half as a classical violinist. After writing music for the stage, Emer began to write for film and media projects, beginning with the documentary film ‘Real World-Berlin Stories’ and the radio play Prinzessin Vukobrankovics. Emer has lived and studied in musical capitals such as London, Vienna and Berlin before receiving her MFA in film scoring from Columbia College Chicago. Emer is also an active collaborator on hip hop, dance and interdisciplinary performing arts projects as a violinist and composer.
