“Gemini and Leo awards winning composer Daniel Séguin is no stranger to the many facets of creating music for film and television. Daniel’s journey into music began when at 14 years of age, he picked up the alto saxophone for the first time and never looked back. After studying at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec and later on at Humber College in Toronto with some of the best musicians in the business such as Pat Lababera (Buddy Rich), Don Johnson and Ron Collier (Duke Ellington), he went on to work with many musicians and artists including Jeff Healey, Denton Whited (Philosopher Kings) and bass virtuoso Victor Wooten (Béla Fleck & the Flecktones). After relocating to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1994, he began his career in the film and television industry as a composer and sound designer. He is also the leader and founder of the Forward Motion Jazz Orchestra.”
