I have been writing music almost as long as I have been playing. When I first started learning the guitar, I had some song books, but I didn’t know the songs. So I just played the chords as marked and improvised the melody. After a while, I was writing my own stuff. It just came naturally, and I have always fashioned myself as a songwriter. These days I tend to look at myself more as a composer. I very much like to write beautiful music. At the same time, I quite enjoy utilizing interesting modes and meters to keep it interesting.
