I graduated from USC in 2010 with a B.A. in film production. I’d been a singer/songwriter since I was a teenager, so when I started film school, I began composing all my own films, which drew the attention of my classmates, who asked me to score theirs. Since my college days, I’ve had the privilege of scoring over twenty short films and two features. In 2015, I released “Spirit of the Age,” an album of folk originals and classics like “Oh Shenandoah” and “Red River Valley.” Indeed, the American west and its landscape plays a huge part in my aesthetic. While I’m here, just want to give a shout out to my favorite composers: Thomas Newman for his mesmerizing piano soundtracks, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross for their seriously inventive work with David Fincher, and John Williams for writing some of the best, most magical music of all time.
