Benjamin Roberts began his musical studies playing piano at the age of 7 at his Cambridge Massachusetts after school program. He continued classical training until about 14 years old when he began pursuing jazz piano by the means of transcription. He began playing professionally at cocktail hours and coffee shops by the age of 17 until he received a scholarship from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
While dual majoring in Film Scoring and Jazz Composition, Roberts wrote music for two documentary feature films and several shorts. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Roberts began playing piano on cruise ships before relocating to Los Angeles. Since then he has been writing music for feature films, commercial adverts, reality TV, and video games.
