A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Andrew Stamp began his musical training at age 3 with a pint size violin but switched to the flute as soon as his arms were long enough. He continued his musical studies at Interlochen Arts Academy and then at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he studied flute performance and composition. After graduation Andrew moved to Chicago, where he played with the Chicago Civic Orchestra. Andrew even dabbled in the IT field for a while, gaining experience as a website developer, before switching his focus to composition for film and television. As a film composer Andrew has scored over a dozen features and shorts, from children’s fantasy to documentaries, and has worked with filmmakers all over the world. His work has also been featured in television programs and TV commercials in Italy, France and the UK, including iTV’s ‘Pride of Britain Awards’ and the French reality show, ‘Chasseurs d’appart (House Hunters).
